Let’s be honest, life can get downright busy and routined. Our spouse or kids often take the backseat to chores or work or that nagging appointment we keep putting off. We all need a moment of reconnection at times. *I see all you parents out there nodding your heads.*

This beautiful couple session that I had the absolute privilege of documenting was exactly that – a time of reconnecting for Kallie and Noah. As parents of two kids, they most certainly understood the desire and need for a day, even an hour, of quality one-on-one time. This session was definitely quality one-on-one time for these two lovebirds. Trust me, I was there!

*It hasn’t gone unnoticed to me that these two are only one letter and a rowboat away from basically being The Notebook*

For this blog post I’m choosing to keep my words to a minimum. Rather than go on and on about the details and tangible chemistry I got to photograph during this beach session (which I could), I’m going to give way for a testimonial from Kallie. Her words after our session together not only touched my heart, but moved me in a way that was so personable and relatable.

Where do I begin? As a married couple, with 2 young children, my husband and I DESPERATELY needed a night to reconnect. After searching Pinterest and finding photos of couples that plunge into the water together, I reached out on a Destin Facebook page. Immediately Hannah comments, with an attached photo of her style and says,

“Hey Kallie, I would LOVE to take photos for ya! I specialize in sessions for couples and families who love adventure 💛 I’d love to chat more with you and get brainstorming on some fun ideas that’ll make your session special and unique for you! My sessions are about more than photos – they’re an experience. Think romantic sunrise coffee at the beach, playing in the sand with the kiddos, or anything else that feels like YOU!”

THIS comment just felt like a breath of fresh air, the word “romantic” sold me. I NEEDED romantic, WE NEEDED romantic. I knew from this comment that she would be the photographer that was willing to fulfill the Pinterest inspired night that we wanted. 

And she was all of that and MORE! From the beginning Hannah always made me feel so important, her communication skills were superb, and her prices were phenomenal.

The night of our shoot she met us with our favorite drinks, which I thought was the perfect personable touch. She immediately started capturing me and my husband in an element that we hadn’t had in so long. She captured our love, the details of each touch. She captured our silliness, and smiles, and my husband’s quirky self. 

We got deep in the sand and water. And rolled around like it was a PG “50 shades of gray” movie. She wasn’t afraid to see us so vulnerable. She wanted us to feel that love we had been missing.
