It was such a pleasure having the opportunity to photograph Nicole and Doug’s wedding! Nicole is my husband’s sister and we’ve shared so many fun convos and big dreams over the years, and this wedding was soooo incredibly special to me. Knowing how deeply a marriage has been prayed over is just one of the greatest blessings to bring into my work as a photographer.

People often refer to something as a “God thing” when something that feels impossible or unattainable becomes possible. This marriage between Nicole and Doug was most definitely a God thing. These two amazing people were destined to be together, and it’s been so amazing to watch them walk alongside God from meeting one another, through their relationship, and into marriage. Before they met, Nicole shared that she was praying for a “kind and gentle” man. As Nicole began to meet some of Doug’s close friends and family, he was literally described as “kind and gentle” to her. As their relationship deepened, Nicole felt this as such a clear encouragement from God that this was the man for her. It was a total God thing!

One of the highlights of the day was Nicole and Doug’s sweet and emotional first look. It was so precious to see the nerves fall off of Nicole as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.

So many meaningful people came together to honor and celebrate Nicole and Doug during this joyous occasion, and I absolutely loved having the honor and privilege of documenting all the memorable moments!
